These 5 Consistency Hacks Helped Me Start Waking Up Everyday at 6am With No Alarm

Consistency feels like a buzzword everyone talks about but rarely explains how to master.

Sure, we hear people say you "just gotta be disciplined," but for anyone who's tried to start going to the gym regularly or wake up without hitting the snooze, it's way easier said than done.

I've struggled with this in numerous aspects of my life, and it's something that I feel like has held me back for so long from seeing success.

One quote that I got from Neo Davis and my Daily Stoic is, "How you do anything is how you do everything."

This really made me take a look at my life and how my inconsistency seeped into everything—my diet, finances, relationships, and the promises I made to myself.

It visually represents the analogy of a business owner guiding customers through a store, emphasizing personalized attention and effective guidance. Let me know if you need any adjustments or further assistance!

We often say, "Ok I'll start that next week! For real this time" But do we ever stick with it?

Lately, I've been waking up at 6 a.m. daily WITHOUT an alarm(or 5 and a couple snoozes), getting right into a 30-60 minute workout, meditating, and then diving into business tasks for the day.

Looking back on it, its lowkey amazing how I've been able to evolve from my previous inconsistent self, which held me back from reaching my goals.

Here's what helped me embrace discipline and maintain consistency across my life:

Gained Clarity

  • Figuring out my focus: what matters, what doesn't.

  • Set goals to give direction and something to aim for.

  • Discovered my passion, which was a journey in it self. I tried different, embraced failures, listened to my gut, stayed alert, and opened up to new experiences.

Started Using a To-Do List

  • This helped me prioritize, establish deadlines, and include everything. I checked it daily to stay on track.

  • I broke down my projects into individual tasks and worked on them one by one

  • Pro Tip: Every night get clear on your top 2-3 tasks that need to get done the next day. This will save you HELLA time and help start your day off on the right foot

Established a Routine

  • This was actually the hardest because it meant embracing the mundane. Sometimes, boring is better.

  • Doing the same thing day after day sounds horrible but it’s actually one of the biggest productivity hacks

Identified My Income Producing Activities

  • Focused on what brings in the money.

  • this will be different for everyone but there should tasks that you’re doing everyday that are getting you closer to making a sale.

  • A lot of times this is the work we’re ignoring by prioritizing busy work

Slowed Down

  • Take some of the pressure, set realistic expectations, and get really good at practicing patience.

  • Learned to enjoy the journey.

  • Put some projects on hold. We tend to have a bunch of ideas but don’t realize how long it takes to execute which causes us to jump from thing to thing

By focusing on these areas, I've found that discipline isn't just about rigid schedules or willpower. It's about setting up a life that aligns with your goals and passions, making it easier to stay on track.
