Mr. Take a Leap of Faith: Why Building Anything Takes Hella Courage

You know what's crazy? I started documenting my journey and creating content about two years ago. Back then, I had no idea what I was getting into. Creating content, editing, and consistently showing up took more time and energy than I expected.

But instead of pushing through, I got caught up trying to perfect the business side, getting the foundation and infrastructure in place, which means I let a lot slip through the cracks.

This past year taught me something crucial—patience, discipline, consistency, and understanding the effort necessary to do this right.

A few years ago, I stopped using my IG account to focus solely on my business. Before I took that break, I changed my bio to "Mr. Take a Leap of Faith." It was fitting then and still is because taking leaps of faith has defined most of my adult life.

One of my favorite movie quotes comes from Senseless, featuring Marlon Wayans. In it, one of the characters says, "You gotta have some faith in fate." For some reason, that always stuck with me because no matter your goals(building a business, becoming a creator, or even something as simple as owning your dream car), there's never a guarantee you'll get there. You're pouring your heart, effort, time and sometimes money into something uncertain, and you have to accept that risk.

It's natural to fear failure. It's natural to question if you're capable or wonder if it’ll all work out. But I’ve figured out that you really gotta trust your future self. Usually, when we think of our future, we immediately jump to the worst-case scenario. That’s human nature.

It’s just our survival instinct trying to protect us. The problem is, when you constantly expect the worst, you condition yourself to look for it more and more. That’s why I make it a habit to practice gratitude and focus on positive outcomes. I set goals that will push me to be better while consistently reminding myself of my past successes to reinforce a positive perspective and counteract that mindset.

Life is random. It’s full of unexpected twists and turns, losses and wins, pain and joy. Your power is in your ability to control your reaction to these events. You can either let life’s randomness make you the villain or choose to become the hero of your own story.

I recently had a conversation with a friend where she asked whether life sometimes feels like hell. And honestly, it kinda does. Life can be painful and challenging.

But that’s only because we let it become that. Every day is an opportunity to create our version of heaven on Earth. You have to build your peace, your happiness, your sanctuary in the chaos around you.

Regardless of your religious, spiritual, or scientific beliefs, the principle remains the same. Manifesting, prayer, fasting—there's evidence across all these practices. We control our realities through our actions and reactions. You become who you decide to be, shaped by how you respond to life's unpredictability.

I'm committing to authenticity and openness as I finally get back into creating and sharing more of my journey. There will be some rambling, some figuring it out along the way—but that’s part of the journey. It's just me talking directly to you, sharing thoughts and lessons as they come.

Right now, I'm focused on consistency and discipline, the essential "boring" stuff that moves the needle forward. It’s easy to chase flashy trends, but I’m starting to realize that real wealth—financial, emotional, or otherwise—is built on the consistency of everyday, usually dull routines.

I’m making a promise to trust the journey, embrace the uncertainty, and build something incredible. Let me know what future you’re working towards or when you decided to leap of faith.
